Melacol
Melacol is a food supplement based on polyphenolic extract of PGI Annurca apple from Campania (Annurcomplex®) and dry olive extract that promotes lipid metabolism.
Properties
A retrospective observational study conducted at the Surgical Department of the University of Modena on patients with mild and moderate hypercholesterolemia treated with Melacol showed a reduction in total cholesterol (TC) and LDL and a reduction in cardiovascular risk indices.
No adverse effects were reported throughout the duration of treatment.
The benefit on lipid metabolism was determined by the combination of the two extracts through the regulation of cellular oxidative stress and the uptake of cholesterol molecules.

It promotes cholesterol control.
