Performance Slow Aging

Performance Slow Aging

Food supplement based on Turmeric, NAC and Astaxanthin with antioxidant action, useful for reducing inflammation and oxidative stress produced by sports activity, slowing down the processes of cellular aging.

Properties

Thanks to the synergy of latest-generation plant extracts, Performance slow aging is a formulation capable of counteracting the incidence of muscle damage and the reduction of performance capabilities of athletes. Performance slow aging allows you to slow down premature aging and counteract oxygen free radicals produced by intense training sessions, which often induce high levels of oxidative stress with negative repercussions on the musculoskeletal system and the immune system, thus increasing recovery times and the probability of injuries. .

Physiological effects

Reduces inflammation and oxidative stress caused by sports activity, slows down cellular aging.

Ingredients
  • TurmacinTM: standardized extract of curcuma longa tit. 12.5% in turmerosaccharides, soluble polysaccharides of turmeric with high bioavailability, with specific anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity at the osteoarticular level, partly due to the inhibition of PGE2 within the synovial fluid, and to the inhibition of IL-12, COX2 and IFN-y, responsible for chronic self-sustaining inflammation. The intake in the athlete has shown an increase in performance and a decrease in pro-inflammatory interleukins, such as 1β, 6 and TNF∝, a tangible reference of the actual damage to muscle cells.
  • N-acetylcysteine (NAC): has an antioxidant action, acts as a precursor of intracellular cysteine with consequent increase in the production of reduced glutathione (GSH), an essential process for liver detoxification. In some studies it has been shown to reduce the concentrations of muscle damage markers (LDH and CPK) after physical activity, reduce free Fe, the feeling of fatigue and the concentrations of inflammatory cytokines post-workout. It has also allowed to observe a general improvement in performance in submaximal activities in trained individuals.
  • Astareal®: (Haematococcus pluvialis thallus) tit. 5% astaxanthin, a xanthophyll carotenoid with antioxidant properties, which interacts positively with mitochondrial membranes, accumulating in them and protecting them from oxidative stress, it also increases energy production in the mitochondrion, promoting the beta oxidation of fatty acids. Studies confirm that athletes using this nutraceutical are able to improve the oxidation of fats for energy purposes and therefore save precious glycogen. Astaxanthin supplementation becomes particularly suitable in endurance sports, but also in mixed sports, such as football, as it could allow the preservation of glycogen reserves to be used in times of need. Astaxanthin supplementation is particularly recommended for endurance sports, but also for mixed sports like football, as it may help preserve glycogen stores, which can then be utilized during moments of peak demand.
  • Blackcurrant: (Ribes nigrum L. fruits) dry extract tit. 35% anthocyanins: the action of blackcurrant anthocyanins is manifested in the attenuation of muscle damage and inflammation, with efficacy demonstrated and quantifiable with dosage of the blood CPK enzyme. It has a natural ‘cortisone’ action and inhibits the production of type E prostaglandins and iNOS, fundamental activities in the control of excessive inflammation, for the athlete who does not want to incur muscle injuries. The anthocyanins and polyphenols present in blackcurrant have a strong inhibitory action against free radicals, contributing to the anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic activity. Furthermore, the supplementation of blackcurrant anthocyanins also seems to positively influence the quality of sleep.
